My Approach to Learning a Musical Instrument

A student’s commitment and practicing their musical instrument go hand in hand. It’s important to make a long-term commitment when learning a musical instrument. When you first visit Englert Music Studio, Carolyn talks about the time investment for the student, the parents and the teacher to show up for your weekly lesson and the importance of regular practice.
If you don’t practice, you don’t improve.

Recitals and Performances
Carolyn’s students develop the skills necessary to perform in her Studio Recitals, as well as in local and school auditions. Carolyn works specifically to help students overcome their fears and anxieties, and to prepare for rehearsals and performances by practicing on weekends and maintaining a level of commitment as they work towards the Recital/Performance date.
