Thanks for putting up with me for seven years, for always keeping me challenged and never giving up hope in me, for making me do all of the register pieces. In the long run, not only did all of your hard work make me a better flute player, but also a better person.
I’ve learned patience – you don’t become a good player overnight, and giving up doesn’t help much. And I’ve learned persistence. Life doesn’t always go the way we expect it to, but you taught me to keep going…to hang in there.
Thanks too, for never giving up on me when I first started playing flute in fourth grade. Instead of quitting, I started lessons with you…and now there’s no denying the fact that I AM A GOOD PLAYER…thanks for you!
It seems that you always saw the “big picture”, when I was stuck on “today”. You saw the… “now” (let’s start working on a districts piece) when I was in 7th grade—and the “future”….so, eventually I was ready to audition with confidence. I only saw how hard the piece was to learn.
So, thanks for everything these past years. I know that who I am today is partially because of my “near-third-parent” and an important adult in my life…that was, and is…you. You made a difference! I’m sure going to miss my hour of lessons/therapy each week. Thanks so much!
